Where does your tea come from?
All Formosa Rituals teas originate from Taiwan, one of the world's most respected tea-growing regions.
We work directly with carefully selected tea producers who share our commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability and exceptional quality.
What makes Taiwanese oolong tea special?
Taiwanese oolong tea is renowned for its elegant complexity and remarkable balance.
Depending on the origin and harvest, you'll discover delicate floral aromas, creamy textures, buttery notes, fresh mountain character and naturally sweet finishes—all within a single tea.
Is your tea organic?
Yes.
All teas offered by Formosa Rituals are 100% organically grown in Taiwan.
We believe exceptional tea begins with healthy soil, sustainable cultivation and respect for nature.
What is High Mountain Oolong?
High Mountain Oolong is grown at elevations typically above 1,000 metres.
The cooler climate, mountain mist and slower leaf growth create teas with exceptional sweetness, elegance and complexity.
This unique environment is one of the reasons Taiwanese high mountain teas are considered among the world's finest.
What is the difference between Oolong, Green and Black Tea?
All three teas come from the same plant (Camellia sinensis).
The difference lies in the level of oxidation during processing:
- Green tea is minimally oxidised, resulting in fresh, grassy flavours.
- Oolong tea is partially oxidised, creating layered floral, creamy and fruity notes.
- Black tea is fully oxidised, producing richer, darker and more robust flavours.
Oolong offers a remarkable balance between freshness and depth.
How many times can I steep Taiwanese oolong tea?
One of the unique qualities of premium Taiwanese oolong is that it can be infused multiple times.
Depending on the tea, you can typically enjoy 4–8 infusions, with each steep revealing new aromas and flavours.
How should I store my tea?
Store your tea in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture and strong odours.
Always reseal the pouch after opening to preserve freshness and aroma.
How much tea should I use?
We recommend:
- 2–3 grams per 200–250 ml
- Water temperature: 90–95°C
- Steeping time: 2–4 minutes
Experiment to discover your preferred balance of strength and aroma.
Sustainability
How is your tea packaged?
Our teas are packed in carefully selected premium kraft pouches that help preserve freshness while reflecting the understated elegance of Formosa Rituals.
We continuously seek more sustainable packaging solutions without compromising product quality.
Returns
Can I return my tea?
Yes.
Unopened products may be returned within 14 days of delivery.
For food safety reasons, opened tea packages cannot be returned.

My order arrived damaged. What should I do?
Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
Include:
- Your order number
- A brief description
- Photos of the packaging and products
We'll resolve the issue as quickly as possible by offering a replacement or another suitable solution.
